Pouring a hazy golden-yellow with a pillowy white head, Grand Reserve is quite an enjoyable drink. When still cold this beer still has all the characteristics of a Belgian Ale, but slightly muted. It is not quite as sweet as other strong Belgian Ales, with a citrusy yeast finish with a bumpy, slightly dry champagne like body. After the liquid warms up the flavors really open up, getting slightly sweeter and fruitier with a lot more yeast character.
